Adelyte's weather module for Crestron control systems provides the current weather conditions and forecasts for today and tomorrow. It features 12 press-and-hold location presets and an unchanging default location. Weather data is obtained from the Yahoo! Weather feed. See the module help for a comprehensive description of its inputs, outputs, and parameters.
This module is compatible with both 2-series and 3-series processors. The demo is provided with compiled programs for both processors and an XPanel ready to launch. In addition to the data obtained from the weather feed, the module provides several useful inputs and outputs.
The control processor needs access to the Internet and properly configured DNS servers. Test both by pinging Yahoo! using the
PRO2> ping weather.yahoo.com Remote Node (192.168.1.1) is alive
Presets are stored in nonvolatile memory. Check the status of the NVRAM file system using the
PRO2> nvramdisk NVRAMDISK: NOT initialized
If the NVRAM file system is not enabled, enable and format it using the
PRO2> nvramdisk 128k WARNING: This command will erase all your files on the NVRAM. Do you want to continue (Y or N)? Y NVRAM filesystem successfully initialized to 128K PRO2> nvramclear WARNING: This command will erase the contents of NVRAM Program space. Do you want to continue (Y or N)? Y
